What is CALC?
Since its inception in 1967, Community Action of Laramie County,
Inc., (based in Cheyenne, Wyoming) has been at work helping Laramie
County children, families and individuals who struggle daily with
poverty, homelessness and other crises. Service is provided through
the following outreaches:

Early Head Start, programs
providing educational, nutritional and health care services to
infant through pre-kindergarten children and their families.

medical, dental and prescription services to the homeless.

program to educate the community about the availability of free and
low-cost medical insurance for children from low-income and homeless
families. Covering Kids is administered by CALC, the Wyoming
Department of Family Services and the Wyoming Department of Health.
Housing for homeless families as well as
homeless and disabled individuals.
Emergency Services that offer
assistance to individuals and families with critical housing and
employment needs, including help with rent/mortgage, damage
