Timothy Ernst, Chief Executive Officer
I have had the privilege of serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Community Action of Laramie County, Inc. since March 2020. With a strong focus on leadership development, I am committed to supporting our front-line staff by fostering a culture of growth, integrity, and collaboration within my leadership team.
My Story
I am a Wyoming native, now a Nebraska resident. To share a little about me and my background. I have a BS in Non-Profit Management and Leadership and I am a Certified Program Manager. I worked at the Carbon County Hospital in EMS for 15 years and after leaving, I served as the Executive Director for the Worland Senior Center followed by the State of Wyoming, Department of Health, Aging Division for 15 years. Once leaving the State of Wyoming, I had the pleasure moving to Community Action of Laramie County, starting as a program manager then moving to the CEO position.
The staff and the management team truly are 100% invested in helping with our low income with housing and intensive case management, our Veterans with temporary housing, and providing excellent health care thorough our Crossroads Health Clinic. My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
To that end, it is my personal endeavor to work to help the people we serve by first providing them with hope. With hope, people can accomplish amazing things. On a personal note, I am a proud dad to three wonderful children and three precious grandchildren. Family is super important to me and gives me the strength to do such rewarding and important work of helping others in need.
