The Cheyenne Farmers Market
The Cheyenne Farmers Market serves as the annual board fundraiser for Community Action of Laramie County, Inc. We retain 5% of each vendor’s weekly sales, and these proceeds are reinvested directly into our community through vital programs including Project Hope, Transitional Housing, Wyoming In-Home Services, Crossroads Healthcare Clinic, and Veteran Housing Services.
Why It Matters
Where it matters
Unlike federal, state, or local grants that come with specific spending requirements, the funds raised through the Cheyenne Farmers Market are unrestricted. This flexibility allows us to allocate resources where they are needed most.
Whether it's providing food for homeless veterans, purchasing diapers for new mothers, or helping a Project Hope participant repair their vehicle to get to work, these unrestricted funds empower us to respond directly to urgent community needs.
The market also plays a vital role in supporting local ranchers, farmers, and small businesses. Through generous sponsorships, we distribute market tokens to low-income seniors, individuals, and families—giving them access to fresh fruits and vegetables and promoting healthy living across our community.
