Hello
Sara Vigil, Program Director
Crossroads Healthcare Clinic
As Program Director of Crossroads Healthcare Clinic, I am dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, affordable healthcare for individuals and families in need.
My Story
With over a decade of healthcare leadership experience in Wyoming’s rural communities, I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges our patients face, from the logistics of care, affordability and quality; the care team and I are dedicated to overcoming these obstacles. I believe strongly in elevating the voice of the patient in every aspect of care delivery—because healthcare should never be overwhelming, confusing, or out of reach.
My passion for accessible care is personal. After a traumatic car accident involving my eldest son, I experienced firsthand the complexity of navigating the healthcare system during a crisis and in follow up. It shaped my mission to eliminate unnecessary barriers for those seeking help for themselves or their loved ones. The marriage of Community Action of Laramie County and Crossroads Healthcare Clinic is one that uniquely serves the total approach to human services, through wraparound programs that provide support, opportunity through our various social service resources that might otherwise be inaccessible.
On a personal note, I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Wyoming. Outside of work, I find joy in the majestic beauty my home state has to offer—camping in the mountains or relaxing at the lake with my husband, riding motorcycles through the countryside and spending time with our five children, four grandchildren, and three beloved dogs.
