Farmers Market FAQ's

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the market. All dogs must be leashed and compliant with applicable City of Cheyenne regulations, including vaccination requirements. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they remain under control at all times.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted within the market footprint. Guests who wish to smoke or vape may do so outside of the market area and away from vendors and attendees.

Do vendors accept credit cards?

Most vendors accept credit cards and electronic payment methods; however, we recommend bringing cash just in case. The Community Action of Laramie County (CALC) booth may be able to provide limited cash exchange services, but we are no longer issuing brown $5 credit/debit tokens in place of cash.

Is parking available?

Yes. Ample parking is available at all market locations, including designated accessible parking spaces.

For the Downtown Market, attendees are encouraged to utilize the City of Cheyenne parking garage and nearby public parking options.

Is the market accessible?

Yes. All market locations are accessible and include designated accessible parking areas.

Do vendors accept EBT/SNAP?

Yes. Vendors who are eligible to accept SNAP/EBT benefits under federal and state guidelines will accept EBT tokens for qualifying purchases.

How do I use my EBT/SNAP card?

Using your EBT/SNAP benefits at the market is easy! Simply stop by the Community Action of Laramie County (CALC) tent near the main entrance. We will process your card for the amount you choose and provide you with $1 market tokens that can be used at participating vendor booths for eligible food purchases.

What can I buy with EBT/SNAP tokens?

EBT/SNAP tokens may be used to purchase eligible food items, including fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods, honey, jams, and other qualifying food products. EBT/SNAP tokens cannot be used for hot prepared foods, alcohol, tobacco products, or non-food items.

Are restrooms available?

Yes. Portable restrooms will be available for attendees.

What happens if it rains?

The market operates rain or shine. In the event of severe weather that creates a safety concern for vendors, volunteers, or attendees, updates and closure announcements will be posted on Community Action of Laramie County's Facebook page.

Are weapons allowed at the market?

The Cheyenne Farmers Market is committed to providing a safe, family-friendly environment for all attendees.

Individuals who lawfully carry firearms are expected to do so responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. Any behavior that threatens, intimidates, harasses, or causes reasonable concern for the safety of vendors, attendees, volunteers, or staff may result in removal from the market at the discretion of market management or law enforcement.

Can I promote my business, organization, or cause at the market?

No. Only approved vendors, sponsors, and authorized partners may distribute promotional materials or conduct business activities within the market.

Solicitation, distribution of promotional materials, and political campaigning are not permitted within the market footprint or adjacent parking areas without prior approval from market management.

Will you accept brown or green tokens from previous years?

Yes. Previously issued brown and green market tokens will continue to be accepted.

The market is currently phasing out brown credit/debit tokens; however, any brown tokens already in circulation remain valid and may still be redeemed with participating vendors. Green EBT/SNAP tokens will continue to be accepted as usual for eligible purchases.
