Essential Support Services

Essential Support Services program provides critical assistance to individuals and families in need by helping them obtain vital documents such as birth certificates, Social Security cards, and state-issued ID cards. We can also assist with adult and child eyeglasses.

Why It Matters

Where it matters

These services are offered free of charge to ensure accessibility for those facing financial hardship.  Acting as a central hub for community partner referrals, Essential Support Services connects clients with additional resources to promote stability and self-sufficiency.

By removing barriers to identification, healthcare, and support systems, this program plays a key role in helping vulnerable residents of Laramie County access the tools they need to improve their lives, accessing opportunities, stability, and basic needs.

Without identification documents, people can’t apply for jobs, housing, or benefits. Without vision care, children may struggle in school and adults may face safety risks or job limitations. By offering these services free of charge, we are ensuring that vulnerable residents—especially those facing poverty or crisis—can take meaningful steps toward self-sufficiency and improved well-being. These supports are often the first building blocks in someone’s journey toward a better life.
